Merry Christmas

We had a wonderful, great Christmas. The kids were VERY spoiled and we loved every minute of it. It was so fun to just chill and enjoy the kids, the morning, and the excitement as the kids just took everything in. Since the kids were up late the night before they slept in a little bit. Most of us started Christmas morning at about 8:00 am. I woke up to a light on out in the living room. Our early riser (Eliza) got a sneak peak before anyone. She had a few minutes play time before I caught her and dragged her away while everyone got ready to go in. We decided not to wake Megan right away. We let her sleep in a little bit while Ty and Eliza got through most of their Santa gifts, then we went and grabbed her to share Christmas morning with us. Tyson was feeling mostly better this morning but it took him awhile to wake up and get excited about his stash.

Eliza's Christmas stash included a vanity with new fake makeup, a hairdresser doll head, books, puzzle, movie, coloring art supplies, Snackeez cup, 2 outfits, and church outfit, underwear, jewelry box, a couple dress ups, Doc Mcstuffins doll, and break the ice game.
Megan's Christmas stash included a piano, pop up toy, shape sorter, books, church outfit, 2 outfits, steering wheel, coin piggy, and an animal see n' say,
Tyson's Christmas stash included a crane truck, pirate ship, Snackeez cup, a couple rescue hero toys, books, big coloring book, underwear, ties, 2 outfits, tractor trains, wallet, tinker toys, rescue bots, a police dress up, army dress ups, knight dress ups and his big helicopter he can ride in (seen below).
So last year Tyson asked for a big helicopter her could ride/drive. Well since he didn't get it last year he asked again for it this year. So Mike and I were trying to figure out how to make this wish come true when Mike came up with the idea to build it out of cardboard. So this was his late night Christmas project. It was kind of sad though when he woke up on Christmas morning and walked right past it and not really getting in it or paying much attention to it. It almost seemed as if Eliza enjoyed the helicopter more than Tyson did. He said he liked it but didn't show it. He asked Santa for it when we saw him and he wrote Santa a letter asking for it but I guess it was not quite what he expected. Needless to say it only made it a couple days before it fell apart. Thank goodness cause it took up a lot of space in out little place. He wasn't even that sad to see it go in the trash.

Dad's Christmas stash included a drill/bits, some new white shirts for church and new tie, beanie, and some candy.
Mom's Christmas stash included a new griddle (thank goodness), some candy, and a new Shark steam mop.

Here are some fun pictures of our Christmas morning.
Tyson has wanted a crane truck for awhile. This is by far his most favorite gift. He has played with it non stop and tries to pick anything and everything up.

I guess this is the fastest way to get everything out.

Eliza LOVES gum!

Megan loves her piano!
The kids had so much fun helping Megan open her gifts and play them with her.

Megan wasn't even too interested in pulling out the tissue paper and ripping the gifts opened. That surprised me.

Ty got a couple of Rescue Bots to complete his collection that he started last year.

This boy loves to role play and dress up. Good thing that most of the dress ups I found came from the $1 store!

Yes, I am as excited about this as it looks in the picture. Anything to make my job easier. It is funny how excited we can get about a mop. The way things change as you get older.

After we had our fun opening present we got ready and headed to Cassy's house for breakfast and we hung out for awhile. We then came home for a little it and rested and played with our Christmas more and then went to Grandma's for a yummy soup dinner and family time. We had a Great Christmas Day!

Merry Christmas!
