11 Months

A few things about Tyson-

-He weighs 20.8 lbs. and 30.5 in tall

-He got two new teeth on the top in the back which makes his total now 8.

-He waves now-most of the time to himself.

-He had his first Thanksgiving and ate almost as much as me.

-He got his 2nd haircut on Thanksgiving.

-He is getting more steady as he stands by himself and took two step completely by himself-but not too close to walking by himself.

-likes to stick out his tongue at us.

-likes to tease us by sharing his binky and food.

-One day I was feeding him lunch and he had his sippy cup and went to hand it to me and as I went to take it he pulled it away from me and started to laugh and proceeded to do this the whole time he was eating.

-He loves his new walker toy.

-He loves to climb in drawers and boxes.

Practice, Practice!

It was Tanner's 1st birthday this past weekend and after he was done destroying his birthday cake we let Tyson go at it to get a little practice in for his birthday coming up. As you can tell he was a pro. He knew exactly what to do.

Curious Ty

Many times this is how we find Tyson. Playing inside his toy bucket with all the toys. For a while now Tyson has been going to the kitchen and removing all the tuperware from the draw. A couple of times lately we have actually found him climbing in the drawer and sitting in there playing just like he does with the toy bucket.

For a few days this was Tyson's favorite place to go. I stored his swing in his bedroom behind the rocking chair and next the the swing is a lamp. One day I went in there and this is what I found him standing on the swing with the lamp pulled down. He hasn't done it much since. I would say he forgot about it but it seems like he doesn't forget anything that he shouldn't do. Whenever he knows he is doing something he shouldn't he will look at you and smile and laugh like he is doing here. How can I not giggle at this cute boy.

Tyson figured out one day that he can open the pan drawer below the stove. We have a couple glass lids he was playing with one and he smashed it against another pan and it broke. Again Smiling!

We got this little walker toy from my sister a week ago and it has become one of his favorites. How cute.

We had this box at our house for a while and it became one of his favorites. Inside the box again.

These are leftover balloons from Mike's birthday that we had and he has popped two others doing just this. Yet this one is still here after doing this.

Tyson is so much fun and so curious about everything. He makes me laugh several times a day with the funny things he does.

10 Months

It seems like I just posted Tyson being 9 months. Time is going by way too fast. So here are a few new things about Tyson.

-He is 20 lbs and 30 inches tall.

-Even though we don't have stairs in our house he knows how to climb up them very well.

-He does not eat baby food any more. Only table foods. (cheaper for us)

-He loves any type of meat-beef, chicken, turkey. He has had rib-eye steak (what 10 month old has had a rib-eye-the benenfits of Mike's job-cheap meat.) He loves chicken nuggets, yogurt, cheese, broccoli, beans, peas, bread, not a huge fan of fruit I can get him to eat pears though most of the time.

-He has 5 teeth, almost 6.

-He loves to open cupboards (which now have safety locks on them), loves the tupperware drawer.

-He had his first Halloween this month and was a puppy.

-He loves to be outside.

-Loves to crawl up the couch and bang on the window. When we put him down he throws a tantrum (one time cried for 10 min.)

-Loves to be tickled and loves for us to crawl after him.

-Loves to beg for food when we are on the couch.

-Has a biting problem. (Anyone know how to cure this.)

-Not interested in walking yet besides along the couch or furniture. Doesn't even stand by himself. However I am okay with this because I say when they start to walk they are not babies anymore and he is already growing up to fast.

Happy 30th Birthday!

Mike turned 30 on Saturday, November 7, 2009. We had a great day. The morning we just relaxed and played a game of CLUE which I got him for his birthday. I got him a sweater, pants, and belt as well. That evening we went to the Smokehouse with some of our friends and family. (The only let down was there was no ribs which we were both looking forward to.) Then we came back to our house for cake and ice-cream. I made an awesome cake. It was like a giant oreo. Yummy!

This year we dressed as the characters of the Disney movie "UP." I thought we turned out pretty good. What do you think?

Pumpkin Patch and Carving

For the third year in a row we had a little Halloween party at my parents house. My mom made some great soup and sandwhiches...

...we went to the pumpkin patch and picked out the perfect pumpkin...

...played in the corn maze...

...got some cute shots of Ty...

...the whole gang and our pumkins...

...then we went back to the house and had lots of fun gutting, carving, and painting the pumpkins.

My Little Helper

I have the best little helper around. Yes, most of the time he gets in the way when I am doing housework but he is so much fun. Without fail everytime I change the laundrey he crawls right up to the dryer to stand by and help (most the time he pulls the clothes I put in the dryer right out). Then sometimes like today he crawls right in.

When I am making dinner or doing dishes he almost always will be found hanging onto my pant legs. I love him very much and ENJOY his help.

9 Months

Tyson is 9 months old. Here are just a FEW things about him.

-Tyson is 29 inches tall and 18.8 pounds.

-He loves to follow us from room to room and wants to do what we are doing.

-He climbs up anything and everything.

-He loves to babble and screech.

-He had his first haircut this past month.

-His top two teeth have finally broken through.

-Loves to eat and eats just about everything we do.

-He is spoiled and we love him very much.

Making Ice Cream

I got an ice cream making "ball" for my birthday and so we finally put it to use. I made apple pie for the first time on Friday and we decided we needed some homemade vanilla ice cream to go with it. So Friday night we got the stuff and made homeade ice cream. We had a lot of fun and the finished product was excellent, both the pie and the ice cream. YUM!
