How could I not smile...
Last night we put Tyson to bed at about 9:00. Mike went to take a shower at about 10:00 and then was going to head to bed. I told him that I was just going to do the dishes and clean up the kitchen and would follow him shortly. As I was finishing the dishes I started to hear Tyson just babbling. I couldn't figure out why he was awake and not crying but babbling. So I told myself I would just hurry and sweep the floor and then go stick a binkie in his mouth and head to bed so I could read. As I walked down the hall and passed my bedroom heading to Tyson's room I saw Mike and Tyson laying on our bed and Tyson sitting there babbling and giggling with his dad. I walked in the bedroom and said, "What is going on?" I asked Mike, "Did you wake Tyson up and bring him in here?" He said kind of. He said that he heard him let out a little cry and so he just picked him up and took him to our bed. He said, "I missed him and just wanted to be with my boy since I have only since him for an hour tonight." (He leaves at 5 am for work and doesn't get home until about 8 pm from school at night.) The only thing I was thinking was "now Ty is wide awake and wants to play and you are going to bed and I will be up with him." I look forward to when we put Tyson to bed. Those last few hours of the night are when I clean up after the day, hang out with Mike, relax on the couch while watching TV and eating ice-cream, play on the computer, read, just my time to not chase Ty around. MY BREAK in the day. He asked if I was mad and I said no because I understand how it is when you just want to hold your baby and be with them. For the record we put him back in his crib and he went right back to sleep...however, he had a horrible night...but then we slept in until 9 in the morning. I just thought I would share that cute little story.

Two Things
Dad and Tyson sharing an apple! How precious! Whenever we have any type of snack he will see and be right at your feet begging. He loves to eat.
Tyson's most favorite thing ever. Now that he can get up and down on the couch himself we CONSTANTLY finding him up on the top of the couch looking out the window. He usually is standing on the back of the couch and pounding on the window and looking around outside.

One Year Old
Tyson is now a 1 year old. Look how cute he is. I took him in for his checkup and shots yesterday and is a healthy boy. Here is a little about Ty right now.
-Height 29.5 in (42%)
-Weight 21.8 lbs (36%)
-claps
-will take up to 5 steps by himself but usually not more than that. (He gets too excited and going too fast to do anymore than that and he falls or he usually chickens out and bends down to his knees.)
-Has three more teeth and one more on the way. Currently has 11 teeth.
-Is on whole milk and loves it. (No more bottle or formula. Yeah!)
-Loves to give slobbery kisses.
-Loves to put his hands over his ears. We don't know if it is a comfort thing or what but it is dang cute.
-Loves to jabber.
-Loves it when his daddy comes home at night and just lights up and giggles.
-Paying better attention to us reading to him. He used to just try and eat the book and wiggle his way away but he is getting better. He loves to just sit on the floor and pull out the books himself and play with them.
-This past month he had his first Christmas and birthday.
-He points at things.
-Is a mommy's boy and is my shadow all day long.
-Hates it when we leave him. Whenever we leave him with someone we are told when we come back that he cried the whole time. Hopefully he gets past that soon so we feel more comfortable to leave him.
-Can successfully climb on the couch himself and most the time can manage to get down to without going head first.

Merry Christmas to Us
(Warning: Picture overload)
Santa's surprises that he left for us.
Mike got a couple of white church shirts that he needed and a new tie. He got the game Scrabble. We are big game people and are trying to exapand our game collection. He got a BYU hat, recipe book, a sweater, and some fun stocking stuffers. As a couple we got a memory foam for our bed and new sheets. We broke those out a little early.
CHARI'S CHRISTMAS
Besided the memory foam and new sheets and pillows I got clothes which is exactly what I wanted and needed. Mike also got me the movie UP. I love that movie. We were also given a gift card to Walmart from my parents which we were able to get a lot of fun stuff with. Karli gave us a cooler as well.
Ty was spoiled. He got clothes and pajamas. A walk and ride toy. He got a blanket from santa, and a blanket from each grandma, he got lots of fun little toys and books.
Ty and his "new" rocking chair. It was my rocking chair when I was little and before Christmas I painted it black to mach his bedroom furniture.
We had a great Christmas. Christmas morning after we saw what santa brought us and opened presents we went to my parents house for breakfast. Later that day Mike's family came down to our house and we had a big Turkey dinner and just had fun being together. We were very blessed this Christmas and had a great time celebrating and remembering the Savior and his birth.
Christmas Eve
For Christmas Eve we went to my sisters house and had soup for dinner. Then we played bingo and just had fun playing together and enjoying each others company. We also read the Christmas story. Ty just loves following his older cousins around and the attention that they give to him. Here are a couple of cute pictures of them on Christmas Eve.
Here is Ty opening up his Christmas eve pajamas
