Happy Halloween

Our sweet little Pooh bear. This halloween Mike and I didn't dress up but we dressed Tyson up. We had our ward halloween party on Thursday night with a trunk or treat and then we took Tyson trick or treating down main street on Friday. We had fun taking Tyson around and I think he had fun as well.

Daddy and Ty

Matchy...Matchy
Dad is making us chocolate shakes and Tyson is waiting in anticipation. Whenever we are in the kitchen whether it is making meals or doing dishes Tyson always has a chair or stool right up next to us so he can "help" us. He is a very curious and inquisitive little boy.

Pumpkin Patch

Also during UEA weekend we got together and had a pizza party at Grandma and Grandpa's house and then we went to Santaquin to the Red Barn and took a hayride to the pumpkin patch and picked out our pumpkins. After we picked out our pumpkins we went back and had ice cream at the red barn.

Our little Ty-Ty.
Not the cutest family pic but the best out of the ones we did get.

This Is The Place Heritage Park

Over UEA weekend we went with the family to This Is The Place Heritage Park in Salt Lake City. We had a lot of fun. I think Tyson's favorite part was the animals. He loved the sheep and he tried to sit on them multiple times wanting to catch a ride. He had to settle with petting and feeding them.

He also loved the pony rides so much so that he threw a fit when he could only ride them around twice in the circle. He got grandpa to stand in the long line so he could go on a second ride. Even after that he didn't want to get off.

The kids also participated in a pumpkin race.

We had lots of fun being able to ride on the train that took us around the park.

The kids also panned for gold. Tyson mostly just threw rocks in the stream.

There is also a mini train that goes around a pond that we took. Tyson again of course had to go twice.

The family hanging out watching the kids ride the mini train. This was towards the end of the day when everybody was tired.

All the Grandkids

The whole family -minus dad- he was taking the picture.

We had lots of fun this day. They also had trick-or-treating there and we had a great picnic lunch that grandma prepared. We were also able to stop and see great grandma at the end of the day.

Getting Ready for Baby Girl

So I have had a lot of fun and help getting ready for this baby girl. From re-decorating the room to shopping, but I still have a few things on my to do list to get done before she makes her arrival. Once I found out I was having a girl I knew the room needed to be re-decorated because it was all boy. So I set out to find the perfect bedding set-neutral and fun and this is what I came up with. It didn't come with the mobile and wallpaper but it came with everything else. It was actually a great deal. I was going to pick out some fabric and have my mom help me make everything but it was actually cheaper to go this route.
This is not their room. I don't actually have the bedding set up in the crib quite yet, but I wanted to show the set off. And I didn't use the curtain because it only came with one valance and they have a large window in their room so my mom made some curtains for me.

So once I had the bedding set I was able to use the colors to decorate the room. I re-did Tyson's name and got half of the baby girls done. Just have to put the name on it and glue the bows on. We are between two names Paige and Eliza so I didn't finish hers yet. I think we are leaning more towards Eliza and I asked Mike if he wanted me to just put that on it and he said no. I asked him if it was because he was not sure of the name or what and he said, "its because I am not so sure you are completely set on it." So they are not done yet. But I love how Tyson's turned out.

The next thing I did for the room is make a sign to put above the window. I had my dad cut the board and used my cricut to do the lettering. It turned out really cute. My mom made the curtains for me. I picked out the fabric to match the rest of the bedding and she did all the hard work. They turned out perfect. Thanks mom.

The next thing I did was take the curtains that I did not use from the bedding set and covered an artists canvas mat and put ribbon on it to make a bow board. I only have three bows completed so I have a little work to go in that area.

I also wanted a car seat cover but didn't want to pay the $30-$40 on it so I went and picked out some fabric and had my mom make it for me. It only cost about $10 and my mom said it was pretty easy and that it only took her about 30 min to do. I didn't put it on my car seat to showcase it because the car seat is currently buried in the far corner under a whole pile of stuff in our storage unit. That is on my list of things to do, is unbury the carseat.

Other things I need to do before the baby comes is finish my Christmas shopping. Because I am not going to be able to move after my c-section for the first couple of weeks and then I doubt I will want to go out too much when I am starting to move. I will still be trying to figure out how to handle two kids. Plus it will most likely be cold and snowy.
I also need to sell me single stroller. I have been trying on KSL but no one has wanted it. I need to sell it before I can get the double stroller I want because we don't have room for both. This is the double stroller I want. It is expensive but we have been saving up for it.

So we are almost ready for this baby to arrive. I think we have almost everything ready except those last few things I needed to do.
The room is decorated, her clothes are washed and have found a space in the chest of drawers. I did this the same time I was switching over Tyson's summer clothes to fall/winter clothes. I got diapers, binkies, and a few pink blankets. Now I just have to wait out the last 6 weeks. I can't wait to meet our baby girl.
