A Few July Happenings

We went to let the kids participate in the childrens games for Spanish Fork Fiesta Days.

Ty and I made marshmellow caramel popcorn (found on pinterest-not my favorite recipe) for our family home evening treat one Monday night.

One day I heard the kids back in Eliza's room playing nicely (I just love that sound-kids playing nicely together) and walked in to find this. So cute. Love these kids.

Ty is funny

I pick out Tyson's clothes today and give him a shirt and shorts (shorts without any belt loops or buttons). He comes into me and says I need shorts with holes and buttons. (This is weird to me because he usually doesn't like to wear shorts/pants that have buttons/snaps because he can't do them up himself.) But I say okay. He goes and changes his shorts and comes to me and says I need a belt. I tell him sorry we don't have one so he runs into our room and says "Maybe dad's will work." I tell him I don't think so. He then proceeds to try and put on the belt. So, I try to help him. We loop it around him a couple of times and do it up. He then says, "I have to go to work." He then proceeds to stick his tools in the belt and goes around the house "fixing" things. He is so funny and so dang cute. Gotta love this kid.

Making bead necklaces

One afternoon I planned to have Ty make a bead necklace. He really enjoyed doing this and spent a considerable amount of time doing this. And that is saying something for Ty because he has a very short attention span reagarding most things. I think he would have even done it for longer if his cousins weren't around.

Eliza and her Chips

This girl absolutely LOVES her chips. Every single time I open the pantry door she runs to the pantry and will snag a bag of chips and carry it around with her. Granted they are at her reaching level in the pantry but regardless she loves them. If we have a meal that includes chips that is all she will eat. At least she is eating something!

Slushies

So we made slushies. It was actually not what I had first intended and it actually didn't get eaten until the second day. My intention was to make popsicles. So we made the koolaid, poured it into the ice cube trays and then I put it in the freezer. I was going to take it out 30 or so minutes later after it hardened just a little bit for the popsicle stick to stick in there straight but time got away from me and it never happened. I remembered about 2 hours later when they had hardened too much. So, my plans changed. I was going to make the slushies that afternoon but for some reason that didn't happen and so we made them the next day and had them with our lunch. Tyson had a lot f fun helping with this little project. He is a little chef. He just loves to help me-especially in the kitchen.

Flour Anyone?

Tyson and Mike made cookies on Sunday night and Mike left out the flour. Well we come into the kitchen to find this. Couldn't resist to capture this moment. Is flour really that good to eat by the handfuls? Well Ty thinks so. Sugar is one thing but flour? Pretty funny.

Annual Eppich Family Campout

We had our annual family campout up Springville Canyon. We had a lot of fun, got wet from the rain, and got really dirty (well some of us). The kids played games, went on a scavenger hunt, did sand art, and played at the park. But the creek is where they spent most of their time. We all had fun with good conversation, food, songs, and smores. The rain joined us the second night shortly before dinner. The men set up tarps and we just sat under them and talked and played games. The rain finally kicked us out late Saturday morning. (Warning: picture overload-I couldn't just choose a few...there were lots of fun ones...so just enjoy.)

This was just shortly after we got to the campsight...Look how dirty she already is!

Playing Uno Moo. A favorite with the kids this camping trip.

Best buds. Parker really looks after Ty and Ty has taken a real liking to Parker.

Eliza LOVES to slide

Tyson LOVES to climb and has been climbing since the moment he figured out he could move.

Did I mention Ty loves to climb!? He climbed all the way up this wall by himself.

This girl loves dirty. She even thinks it is quite tasty.
