Eppich Family Campout

For the last few summers we have got together as a family and gone up the canyon to go camping. We had a lot of fun like always. We did lots of playing, eating, and relaxing. We played at the playground, played in the creek, roasted marshmellows, and the older kids gathered and painted rocks. The last picture is of our tent. It is known as the castle. We just bought it before summer because our little four man was too small for our family to fit in comfortably so we invested in an 8 man tent. Hope it lasts us a good long while.

We have a BIG problem

It seems that we now have a thumb sucker in our family. Tyson just started sucking his thumb. He always liked sucking a binkie until we broke him of it at 18 months. Now he is notorious for stealing Eliza's binkie. I can't get him to stop. I have tried everything and nothing bothers him. He still steals her binkie constantly. Somedays I get to the point that I say I don't care suck on the binkie. It is so frustrating. We say all the time we are just going to toss them, that is until Eliza has a crying spell then we immediatley say "where's the binkie." But within the last week or so Tyson has started sucking his thumb. His cousin sucks her thumb and ever since he was over there being babysat he sucks his thumb now. He is 2 1/2 and is NOW starting to suck his thumb. What to do? So not only do we have a binkie stealer but also a thumb sucker. BIG PROBLEM.

New Hobby

So I have picked up a new hobby: couponing. I don't know how extreme I will get but it is fun saving money. I get really excited when I do a shopping trip and be able to come home and tell Mike how much money I would have spent and how much I saved. I don't know that I will take pictures of all my shopping trips that I have saved on but this was my first one. I spent about $12 dollars on this purchase below and saved $14. I am excited to learn how to save even more. it is fun to save so much money. Kind of addicting.

(3 packs of pens, 1 pack of sharpies, 2 packages of guacamole mix, 1 pack of tape, 1 toddlers graduates dinner, 1 can of graduates puffs, 1 can of graduates lil' crunchies, and 3 boxes of pop tarts. Total cost $12.)

Fourth of July

Our Family on the Fourth of July
(Tradition we have is to get 4th of July shirts every year)

Waiting to watch the Firworks from Stadium of Fire. When the fireworks came on Eliza was sleeping. Tyson had a lot of fun watching the fireworks this year making firework noises and trying the "catch" the fireworks. He really enjoyed them this year and talked about them all week long.

We also went to the parade on Monday in provo.

After the parade we met up in the canyon for a bbq with my family. The cousins had fun playing there. We had lots of good food, relaxation and playing games.

And we can't forget about the traditional fishing pond that grandma puts on for all the grandkids. They sure love it. Eliza even got to participate this year.

Five Years

Mike and I celebrated our 5th year anniversary today. During this week I have been surprising him with a favorite treat and card each day for FIVE days.

Day 1-Monday: Five reasons I love you card and favorite drink-cherry Dr. Pepper.

Day 2-Tuesday: Five things i have learned about you card and rice krispies treats.

Day 3-Wednesday: Five fun place we have been together card and ice cream.

Day 4-Thursday: Five fun activites we do together card and favorite candy bar.

Day 5 (July 1 OUR ANNIVERSARY)- Five things I love about us card-Five balloons and bike computer.

I had fun doing this for him and he had fun coming home each day and finding out what he was getting as his surprise. Even though it was just as simple as a Dr. Pepper or Candy bar, he got way excited and told me how much he appreciated it.

On our anniversary (Friday) he got up with the kids and let me sleep in (almost unheard of these days). A little while later he sent Tyson in to wake me up with one single rose. I got up and then he surprised me with about a dozen more roses. We then had to go run some errands and he took a little detour to FIVE places from memory lane.

1st stop: The first house we started our marriage in.

2nd stop: The place where he told me he loved me for the first time.

3rd stop: The apartment where I lived at and that we met for the first time at.

4th stop: The first place that we kissed.

5th stop: The house that we he proposed to me at.

At each stop he handed me rose. I thought this was so sweet that he would do this for me.

That night we dropped the kids off at my sisters house and Mike and I went to dinner at Carabbas and then went and saw an Owlz game. It was a fun day and night (especially without the kids)

Thanks Mike for an amazing five years and many more to come. I can't wait to see what the future holds for us and our family.I love you.
