To the Bahamas and Back

FYI: TONS OF PICS
AIRPLANE
This is us on the plane headed to Miami, Florida. I was really worried about how Ty was going to be on the plane since he can't even sit an hour through church, but he did well and slept on each flight.

MIAMI
Here is the group of us that went. This is a little Mediteranian place in downtown Miami that we had dinner at the night we got to Miami. Funny thing they had only 1 highchair because they don't see many kids. Downtown Miami was a lot different than I expected. We even saw the buildings that they show on CSI Miami.

CRUISE SHIP:NORWEGIAN SKY
This is me sneaking Ty into the kiddie pool on the ship. They said that children are not allowed to wear swim diapers in the pools on the ship but I let him stick his feet in and play for a little bit. He loved it.

This is me and Ty just playing on the ship. The ship had not yet left Miami.

Mike and Ty looking overboard.

The first day Mike received two free bingo cards so we went and he played them.

At dinner on the first night in the ships dining room.

NASSAU, BAHAMAS
Our ship

Playing on the beach at Nassau

Tyson ate a LOT of sand.

He loved it so much he even coated his apple with sand and ate it.

Family picture on the Nassau Beach. Just look at the water. So beautiful...but cold.

Walking down the beach.

Riding the jet ski out on the ocean. Awesome...and so much fun!

Riding in the shuttle. We had to take taxi's and shuttles EVERYWHERE we went.

Back on the cruise ship. Dinner at the ships dining room on night 2.

GREAT STIRRUP CAY, BAHAMAS
This is a family pic at the beach. This is the cruise lines private beach.

Tyson playing on the beach. Loving the sand, sun, and water.

Tyson and his cousin Tanner.
Tyson relaxing in the beach chair and taking a little drink.
The clam shell we rented. This was the second day and we were all sunburned so we decided to enjoy a little shade today.

On the ferry to take us back to the boat.

Back on the ship and at our last night at dinner at the dining room.

The morning we left we had a little time to spare so we watched our entertainment. Ty and Tanner dancing.
We had a lot of fun, sun, water, good food, and entertainment.

Fits-climbing-Eating

So Tyson loves being outside. On Sunday, Mike took Ty on a walk and on the way home he fell asleep in the stroller. Mike brought the stroller in the house and wheeled it back to Ty's room so he could sleep longer. When Tyson woke up and we brought him out to the living room and set him down he went back into his room and started crying. I ran back there and he was trying to climb into the stroller and couldn't get in. I put him in there and wheeled it out to the living room and he climbed in it and he sat in there for a good 5 to 10 minutes then threw a fit. I think he wanted to go back outside for another walk. He cried for a good while.

Tyson is a climber. He makes the drawers of the computer desk into step and climbs up them to the top...

...and can now climb up on the chairs...

...and then onto the table...

...and also in the cupboards. What can I say we have a climber on our hands.

Lately Tyson has been wanted to feed himself and I let him try every so often because I know if I don't he won't ever be able to do it on his own. Sometimes he won't eat unless he can do it himself. So tonight was one of the nights I let him try by himself. He did manage to get a few pieces in his mouth but most of it ended up on his tray or on the floor.

Temple Pictures

A couple of weeks ago my sister-in-law invited me up to Layton to do these temple pics. We got to choose what temple we wanted to do, and of course I chose the Manti temple since that is where Mike and I got married. It was a fun project and turned out awesome.
Step 1: Paint the pieces of the frame.
Step 2: Glue the picture to the plywood, get all the airbubbles out and then texturize.
Step 3: Piece the frame together and then staple.
Step 4: Staple the picture to the frame
Step 5: Antique the frame by sanding and staining.
(This is the finished product that hangs on my wall)
