October Fun

We got this Hummer at DI and had to have a new battery put in it but the kids have had a lot of fun playing in it. Mike and I both said we would have liked to have one as a kid and never did have one so we were excited to get one for them to enjoy.

Ty and Eliza kicked Megan out and she chased them down the street.
It's not fair when mom's get sick cause we don't get to take a sick day. :(
The kids having a reading party after school. I make Ty do his homework/reading time after school and everyone wanted to join in this day.
Yes, this happened. (Even though I was irritated I grabbed the phone to take a picture) And yes, even a few chuckles escaped me. I guess she just quite wasn't done playing in the bath that she had to jump right back in with Eliza.

We made caramel apples to enjoy while watching general conference.
Little miss Meg is getting so smart. She is starting to say more and more words. SO fun.

This is Ty's great big pumpkin that we grew. We never ended up carving or doing anything with it so it just ended up in the garbage.
Meg and Daddy hanging out after work one day.

Happy Halloween

For Halloween we have a Snow White...a police officer...and Rapunzel

We even found a Minnie Mouse. After having chili and getting all dressed up at Grandma's house, we went with the Shields and Smyth families in the Smyth's neighborhood to go trick-or-treating.

Halloween Parade

Today we went to Ty's school and watched him in his Halloween parade. It was kind of ironic that he was a police officer and his teacher was a robber. We couldn't pass up getting a picture of them together.

Hanging out with Eliza

Eliza and I went on a little mini date today. After we went to Ty's costume parade we decided to go play at the park.

We then decided to go and get a doughnut. When we went into Smith's, Frankenstein was there to meet us. At first I thought he was a statue with a bucket of candy until he started walking towards us which really startled me and I admit I did let out a little scream. Eliza was terrified. I am sure it was entertaining to watch.

Flag Football cheerleaders

Tyson has some cute little cheerleaders who come and watch him at every game. They just have fun playing on the sidelines.

Flag Football

Ty has really enjoyed flag football this season. This is his first year he has done flag football. He was able to get on his friends team. He like to be quarterback he says. He hasn't scored a touchdown but has been able to run the ball and got a 1st down which he is really proud of.

Mommy and Girls

I thought it would be fun to post a picture of me and Eliza and Megan all at the same age and see how we all compare.

Annual Pumpkin Day

Today we had fun at our annual pumpkin day. This is one of the absolute favorite traditions that we do with everyone. We met at Jaker's Pumpkin Patch.
We started off by petting and see all the animals.

Megan loves her Grandma kisses!
Then everyone had fun in the big corn pit. Being buried in the corn was a highlight.

We had to grab a family picture to mark the day.

Then it was off on the tractor hay ride (This is Ty's favorite part).

Then it was off to find the perfect pumpkin. The rule...you have to be able to carry the pumpkin you pick.

Then it was back to Grandma's house for lunch and then it was time to paint/carve the pumpkins. Eliza opted to paint hers.

Tyson carved his (on both sides) and then painted.

All the grandkids and everyone's finished pumpkin.

We also celebrated Marci's birthday today with everyone.

When we got home I took he kids with their pumpkins.
Ty's pumpkin face...

...and BYU symbol.

Eliza's painted pumpkin.

Dad's K State wildcats symbol.

And Meg with her pumpkin. She had a nap while everyone was working on their pumpkins so she never painted hers.
