Making Ice Cream

I got an ice cream making "ball" for my birthday and so we finally put it to use. I made apple pie for the first time on Friday and we decided we needed some homemade vanilla ice cream to go with it. So Friday night we got the stuff and made homeade ice cream. We had a lot of fun and the finished product was excellent, both the pie and the ice cream. YUM!

First Hair Cut

Sunday we took out the trimmers and gave Ty his first hair cut. We didn't take a lot off but just a little trim. He was so good. Here is the before shot.

Sunday Nap

8 Months

Tyson is 8 months old already!

-Tyson is 19 lbs and 28 inches tall.
-He stands up on everything and falls down constantly as the bruises on his face show.
-He walks along the couch.
-He has two top teeth that are coming in, but are not quite in all the way yet.
-He loves to eat anything. Lately his new favorites are bite size pieces of bread and fruit and he likes yogurt.
-He throws temper tantrums already.
-Loves to play lion with his dad.
-Needs a hair cut but can't bare to do it yet. It is too cute.
-This past month he has been to California and to the beach and we also went to the dinosaur museum at Thanksgiving point.

Happy Birthday!

September 6th was my birthday. I turned the big 24. I told Mike that all I wanted from him for my birthday was to get my hair cut and highlighted since I don't highlight it very often and because it is too expensive to keep up with. So I did that last week.

We celebrated my birthday Saturday night since my birthday was on Sunday. We went to Smokehouse for dinner and then went to the John Schmidt concert at Thanksgiving point. He is an amazing pianist. I had a great birthday.

Crawling

So Tyson scooted around for the longest time. I thought he might skip crawling all together but he actually started crawling a couple of weeks ago. For awhile he would scoot half the time and crawl half the time mostly because I think he knew that he could get around faster by scooting. Now he is actually crawling most of the time. But, we still catch him scooting every once and a while. Even though he has been crawling around for a couple weeks I just got a good video. So, here he is.
