Harward Family Reunion

Every Memorial Day we meet in Aurora we meet at Grandpa Harward's grave as an extended family and spend the day together having fun and remembering Grandpa Harward. This year after we spent some time at the grave listening to memories of Grandpa we headed to the church in Salina for lunch and a fun auction. An interesting thing happened while we were there. We had all the auction items set up on the stage and Garret and Aunt Diana were surveying the items when they spotted an old blue Book of Mormon. They picked it up and noticed my name engraved on this Book of Mormon. Who knows actually why it happened to be there and noticed that day. (I haven't been to that church in 10 years) Aunt Diana thinks it was Grandpa's way of saying he was there watching over us. Whether that is true or not I don't know. But I love the thought.

The Harward Gang-at least all those who were able to make it.

Discovery Museum + Donuts = Awesome Day

We called up Karli today and met her at the new Discovery Museum at Thanksgiving Point today. We had a lot of fun. After the discovery museum we went and got the most amazing donuts at the Art City Donuts truck that was parked there at Thanksgiving Point. Did I say these donuts were amazing? Well they were!

All In A Days Fun

Just getting some help making a little Mac and Cheese for lunch. Eliza got to pour the cheese and Ty got to stir. I love that they love to help me cook (most of the time). It is such a good way for them to learn many things.

Just starting to be able to sit in the Bumbo for a little bit. Her head is still hard for her to hold up so it starts to bob...

...and then she gets really mad,

Time for an afternoon nap (at least for her)

The rest of us played spa. Poor Ty is stuck with us girls all day but it doesn't seem like he minds it too much. He had fun helping us with our pedicures.

And to finish off the day we went and cheered Tyson on at his T-ball game.

Tyson Graduates Preschool

We are so proud of our Tyson. He is so smart and had so much fun at preschool this year learning and making new friends. For their program they sang songs (The Itsy Bitsy Spider, Bear Hunt, Five Little Monkeys, Baby Fish) and played out parts of the book "Rumble in the Jungle." For his part in the program he was the tiger.  He got to say "Beware of the terrible. You don't always know when he is near. But his eyes shine like lights. In the blackest of nights. And his growl makes you tremble with fear."

Our little preschool graduate!
He is so proud...and I am too.
Tyson and his teacher Miss Dixie Spresser

Here are a few fun video's of Tyson. I couldn't get them all to upload though.

Tyson Did It!

We decided to take the plunge and teach Ty to ride his bike without training wheels. Ty was really nervous about doing this and wanted knee and elbow pads but we told him no cause we knew he would pick it up fast and we were right. We didn't really even have to teach him, he took right off with only a few crashes. We took off the training wheels and Mike took him down to the church parking lot and he held him a little bit but then he just took off. It only took him about 20 minutes and he had it down. We are so proud of you Tyson. You did it!

Playtime

Little Megan loves her little play gym. She loves to look up at the toys and swat them with her hands. She will "talk" while she looks at the toys and lay there for quite awhile. This is currently one of her most favorite things.

T-Ball

It is so fun to be able to watch Ty in T-ball.  He has had a few practices and will start games next week. We are so excited to watch him grow and have fun. He is always asking for us to help him practice and wanting to play catch. Go White Sox!

Springtime

We are loving the springtime. Springtime means warmer weather with lots of time to enjoy the sunshine and being outside. Bring on the sun!

Megan's Blessing

Megan was blessed today (on Mothers Day) at church. Isn't she beautiful? We had a lot of family there to support us and Megan on her blessing day. Mike gave her a beautiful blessing and he said that at the end of the blessing he looked at her and she gave him a big smile. She wore the dress I was blessed in (along with Eliza as well) and the afghan we used was mine as a baby that Grandma Eppich made. We had a very relaxing morning as we spent time as a family and all got ready for church. We were able to get these pictures while Megan was happy and awake before church. After the blessing we went to Grandpa and Grandma's clubhouse for a little lunch. We love everyone who came to support us on Megan's special day.
