January Fun

This January has been cold and snowy so we had to find other things to do to fill our days. So we played with new Christmas toys, played kitchen, playdough, built train tracks and played trains and played games. We all can't wait for the winter and cold to go away so we can play outside again.

Tyson getting mad at Eliza for wrecking his train...or taking his train...something he didn't like. Happens far too often at our house.  It is like the end of the world.

Ty's Ambulance

Ty has been wanting an ambulance for quite awhile. He asked if he could use some of his piggy bank money (this is the first time he has asked to use his money for anything) and pay for an ambulance all by himself. He also used some birthday money he got to get this ambulance. He is pretty determined. As we went to three different stores and walked down the toy aisles to find the perfect ambulance he never waivered in what he wanted. He didn't care about anything else other than finding his ambulance. He was SO excited as we took it up to the register and he sat it on the belt and gave the cashier his money. He was so proud of himself.

Tyson's 4th Birthday

So the firefighting theme continues from Christmas to Ty's birthday. I sat Tyson down one day and showed him many different birthday theme ideas on the computer and he was adamant he wanted a fireman/truck birthday party.  He wanted to do a little party with his friends. So we decided that we would have lunch together. We had hotdogs, chips, fruit, capri-sun, and popcorn. After lunch we sang happy birthday to Tyson and he blew out his candles and then we had cupcakes. After the cupcakes Tyson opened his presents from his friends. He sure has good friends. He got a firetruck set, ninja turtle coloring book, whoopie cushion, watch, little indians, nerf basketball hoop, and a placemat. He was so excited to have all his friends over for his birthday.

Love his expression in this picture!

Later that night he had his cousins and aunts and uncles and granpa and grandma over for a little party. We opened presents and sang to Tyson in which he blew out his candles again and had cupcakes and icecream. He got a T-ball set and outfit from mom and dad, Eliza got him a measureing tape to go with his tools, he also got an outfit from grandpa and grandma, a car garage, Curious George fireman book, and some foam disk guns. Happy Birthday Tyson.

Mother Goose

On New Year's Eve we all put our shoes out by the door and Mother Goose comes and fills them with something. Dad and Mom both got some candy and Ty got a Mr. Potato Head and Eliza got a Mrs. Potato Head.
