The last couple of years we have started building gingerbread houses sometime during the Christmas season. The kids enjoy putting them together and adding the candy decorations but they never last long. They always seem to fall apart and then the kids just enjoy eating the candy.

Fishing
Over the Christmas break our neighbors invited Mike and Tyson to go fishing in the very cold weather. They went up somewhere by deer creek and were able to catch a few fish. I love that proud smile on Ty's face.

Hang Time
Tyson and Eliza were invited to a birthday party at Hang Time for Ty's friend Tristen. They had a great time so much so that all the pictures are a little blurry because they wouldn't stop moving for even a second. There are only a couple of pictures of Tyson cause no one could keep up with him.

Ty and Flat Gingy
Tyson made "Flat Gingy" at school. He had an assignment to bring Flat Gingy home and do some type of activity with him, take a picture, and then go back to school and share. The days before Christmas we have books which are wrapped up and the kids get to choose one to read a night and this is what Tyson chose to do with Flat Gingy. What a fun little project.

November
The kids always beg to sleep in each others rooms and most of the time we tell them no but we let them this night. When I went in to check on them before bed this is how I found them cuddled up together on the floor.
Eliza and Meg telling each other stories.
Tyson and I went on a date one night. We don't do this often enough and it was so good to spend some one on one time with this little man. He is so smart and fun to be with. Our first stop was Krispy Kream since we were in Orem and the Hot Doughnuts sign was on. Ty always begs us to take him to the toy store so that is what we did. I took him to ToysRUs and he used his money to buy a lego set. Then it was off to Hobby Lobby in which we bought Eliza a birthday gift. Then we went to McDonalds for dinner and then to see The Minions movie. A great date with my Ty man.
We always love spaghetti night at our house. And this was just too funny. Megan gave up on the fork and just grabbed a whole handful of spaghetti and started shoving it in her mouth. The part I didn't get captured on camera was the best though when Mike copied Megs actions and grabbed a whole handful of his spaghetti and started shoving it in his mouth.
Chillin' and wrestlin' on a Sunday afternoon.
Fun in the Snow
With the little bit of snow we got last night the girls decided it would be fun to go play in it today. So while Ty was off at school the girls had me bundle them all up and they went in the backyard to play for all of 10 or so minutes.

Snow...Snow...Everywhere
So this morning we woke up to a blanket of white snow. Well most kids when they see this would probably want to just go PLAY in the snow. Not my kids they would rather work and shovel the driveway and sidewalks. Where did theses kids come from. They thought it was fun though.

Christmas Tree Decorating
One of the things I have been waiting for since we got into our house was to get a real, nice full christmas tree. Well we got one from Costco strapped it to the top of the minivan and brought it home.
That night we got it all set up and all helped put the lights and decorations up. It makes the house smell so good.
Both of the kids wanted to put the star on the top so they each got a turn.
The finished decorated tree. So pretty.
And just because we could and had the room we set up our other smaller tree downstairs.
We love Christmas time and decorating the house and trees and I have the best helpers to do it.
Bean Museum and Bowling
While everyone was here for the Thanksgiving holiday on Friday we decided to all go have some fun. We went to the bean museum to see all the animals. The kids and adults all enjoyed that.
After the bean museum we went to Panda Express for lunch and then off to Fat Cats for some bowling fun. We couldn't keep Meg away from the bowling balls and lanes she loved it.
