What Does the Animal Say?

When Brecklyn and the kids came up for the weekend we went to a little petting zoo down the street from Marci's house for something fun to do. Most of their animals were not there but the kids had fun seeing and feeding the ones that were there. They had goats, sheep, chickens, llamas and a few others.

Megan ate the bread that was intended to feed the animals.

Fall Break Day 2

For the 2nd day of fall break we decided to go hike 'The Grotto' up Payson Canyon. Mike has been on this little hike but the rest of us have not. It was a great hike. It was short and the kids had a lot of fun. 

Ty and I went up above the falls a little bit. It wasn't too bad going up but it was quite steep which made it a little harder coming down.

After the hike we went to a little park down the canyon a little ways and made some hot dogs on the grill. While the lunch was being cooked the kids found this tree which they thought would be a good bed/nest. They kept piling the leaves in it to make it more comfy. I don't think it worked out quite as planned but they had fun trying.

Fall Break Day 1

For the first day of fall break we had to head to Salt Lake to pick up my ring (which the prong had broken so it was being fixed) so we decided to stop in Pleasant Grove at this fun park we had found and played for awhile. Megan absolutely loves to slide and both girls love the swings. Tyson's favorite is the monkey bars. After we played a ton we had our picnic lunch that we packed. 

After we finished at the park we went to Salt Lake and picked up my ring, stopped at T-mobile to get Mike a new phone and then headed to Trafalga and enjoyed the outside attractions. We experienced a first while we were there--the roller coaster was actually working. We were a little hesitant about going on it cause it is always broken down but gave in and Mike and Ty went on it. They said it was fun but it jerked around a lot.  Megan couldn't ride much besides the carousel and ship but she had fun with those and running around.

We ended the day with dinner at Wendy's, some shopping at the Mall, and donuts from Krispy Kreme. A fun filled first day of fall break.
