Announcing...

...baby number two is on the way for those of you who haven't already heard. We are very excited. I am due on November 30, 2010. This means that Tyson and baby #2 will be just short of 2 years apart. The good news is that I am starting to feel a tad bit better...some days. It has been a better pregnancy than with Ty so hopefully within the next couple weeks I will feel even better and not be sick the whole time like I was with Tyson. We are both super excited about the new addition to our family.

Easter

We had a fun Easter. Tyson got super spoiled by the Easter bunny. He got a bat, nursery rhymes book, an outfit, board puzzle, and of course some candy...which was his favorite.

To the Bahamas and Back

FYI: TONS OF PICS
AIRPLANE
This is us on the plane headed to Miami, Florida. I was really worried about how Ty was going to be on the plane since he can't even sit an hour through church, but he did well and slept on each flight.

MIAMI
Here is the group of us that went. This is a little Mediteranian place in downtown Miami that we had dinner at the night we got to Miami. Funny thing they had only 1 highchair because they don't see many kids. Downtown Miami was a lot different than I expected. We even saw the buildings that they show on CSI Miami.

CRUISE SHIP:NORWEGIAN SKY
This is me sneaking Ty into the kiddie pool on the ship. They said that children are not allowed to wear swim diapers in the pools on the ship but I let him stick his feet in and play for a little bit. He loved it.

This is me and Ty just playing on the ship. The ship had not yet left Miami.

Mike and Ty looking overboard.

The first day Mike received two free bingo cards so we went and he played them.

At dinner on the first night in the ships dining room.

NASSAU, BAHAMAS
Our ship

Playing on the beach at Nassau

Tyson ate a LOT of sand.

He loved it so much he even coated his apple with sand and ate it.

Family picture on the Nassau Beach. Just look at the water. So beautiful...but cold.

Walking down the beach.

Riding the jet ski out on the ocean. Awesome...and so much fun!

Riding in the shuttle. We had to take taxi's and shuttles EVERYWHERE we went.

Back on the cruise ship. Dinner at the ships dining room on night 2.

GREAT STIRRUP CAY, BAHAMAS
This is a family pic at the beach. This is the cruise lines private beach.

Tyson playing on the beach. Loving the sand, sun, and water.

Tyson and his cousin Tanner.
Tyson relaxing in the beach chair and taking a little drink.
The clam shell we rented. This was the second day and we were all sunburned so we decided to enjoy a little shade today.

On the ferry to take us back to the boat.

Back on the ship and at our last night at dinner at the dining room.

The morning we left we had a little time to spare so we watched our entertainment. Ty and Tanner dancing.
We had a lot of fun, sun, water, good food, and entertainment.

Fits-climbing-Eating

So Tyson loves being outside. On Sunday, Mike took Ty on a walk and on the way home he fell asleep in the stroller. Mike brought the stroller in the house and wheeled it back to Ty's room so he could sleep longer. When Tyson woke up and we brought him out to the living room and set him down he went back into his room and started crying. I ran back there and he was trying to climb into the stroller and couldn't get in. I put him in there and wheeled it out to the living room and he climbed in it and he sat in there for a good 5 to 10 minutes then threw a fit. I think he wanted to go back outside for another walk. He cried for a good while.

Tyson is a climber. He makes the drawers of the computer desk into step and climbs up them to the top...

...and can now climb up on the chairs...

...and then onto the table...

...and also in the cupboards. What can I say we have a climber on our hands.

Lately Tyson has been wanted to feed himself and I let him try every so often because I know if I don't he won't ever be able to do it on his own. Sometimes he won't eat unless he can do it himself. So tonight was one of the nights I let him try by himself. He did manage to get a few pieces in his mouth but most of it ended up on his tray or on the floor.

Temple Pictures

A couple of weeks ago my sister-in-law invited me up to Layton to do these temple pics. We got to choose what temple we wanted to do, and of course I chose the Manti temple since that is where Mike and I got married. It was a fun project and turned out awesome.
Step 1: Paint the pieces of the frame.
Step 2: Glue the picture to the plywood, get all the airbubbles out and then texturize.
Step 3: Piece the frame together and then staple.
Step 4: Staple the picture to the frame
Step 5: Antique the frame by sanding and staining.
(This is the finished product that hangs on my wall)

Happy Valentines!

I know it is a few days late but we had a great Valentines. Since Valentines Day was on Sunday Mike, me, and Ty went to dinner on Saturday. We have a Valentines Day tradition to go to Goodwood Barbeque and so we went on Saturday late afternoon to beat the rush. It was SO good!
My gift to Mike was a basketful of goodies to enjoy a chocolate fondue party that night and of course a little sparkling cider. He was very thoughtful and got me flowers and some of my favorite candies. Thanks Babe. I love you!

On Sunday, Valentines Day, we got together with my family and my mom prepared a yummy chinese dinner. We had a lot of fun getting together as a family. We also celebrated Kaylee's 7th Birthday. We had a great weekend.

Walking

Yes it is true, my baby is walking. FINALLY! He is 13 months old today and is walking. He has been walking pretty good for the past little while but today he walked more than crawled and when he did fall he would stand up by himself (without pulling himself up on something.) However, he is still quite wobbly and falls quite a bit. My mom said I was 13 months when I started walking so I guess he takes after his mom. Here is a fun video of him walking today.

Our Simple Life

Playing in the desk drawers. Won't be too much longer and he won't be able to fit. We also find him climbing in the drawers in the kitchen, his toy bucket and his diaper bucket.

Reading books to himself.

Eating a corndog for lunch.

Playing outside. It was such nice weather last week that we took advantage of it and went outside a for a little while each afternoon. He loves being outside and would cry when we came back in. He would walk down the street and didn't want to come back towards the house. I had to carry him back each day because he wouldn't come back on his own.

How could I not smile...

Last night we put Tyson to bed at about 9:00. Mike went to take a shower at about 10:00 and then was going to head to bed. I told him that I was just going to do the dishes and clean up the kitchen and would follow him shortly. As I was finishing the dishes I started to hear Tyson just babbling. I couldn't figure out why he was awake and not crying but babbling. So I told myself I would just hurry and sweep the floor and then go stick a binkie in his mouth and head to bed so I could read. As I walked down the hall and passed my bedroom heading to Tyson's room I saw Mike and Tyson laying on our bed and Tyson sitting there babbling and giggling with his dad. I walked in the bedroom and said, "What is going on?" I asked Mike, "Did you wake Tyson up and bring him in here?" He said kind of. He said that he heard him let out a little cry and so he just picked him up and took him to our bed. He said, "I missed him and just wanted to be with my boy since I have only since him for an hour tonight." (He leaves at 5 am for work and doesn't get home until about 8 pm from school at night.) The only thing I was thinking was "now Ty is wide awake and wants to play and you are going to bed and I will be up with him." I look forward to when we put Tyson to bed. Those last few hours of the night are when I clean up after the day, hang out with Mike, relax on the couch while watching TV and eating ice-cream, play on the computer, read, just my time to not chase Ty around. MY BREAK in the day. He asked if I was mad and I said no because I understand how it is when you just want to hold your baby and be with them. For the record we put him back in his crib and he went right back to sleep...however, he had a horrible night...but then we slept in until 9 in the morning. I just thought I would share that cute little story.

Two Things

Dad and Tyson sharing an apple! How precious! Whenever we have any type of snack he will see and be right at your feet begging. He loves to eat.

Tyson's most favorite thing ever. Now that he can get up and down on the couch himself we CONSTANTLY finding him up on the top of the couch looking out the window. He usually is standing on the back of the couch and pounding on the window and looking around outside.
