Oh Eliza

Eliza wanted to paint so I got her set up with some paint and paper and went to take care of the baby. She thought she needed more paint and went and got the bottles out of the cupboard and needless to say the paint is mostly gone. Mental note don't leave your 3 yr old alone to paint unless you want a big mess to clean up. At least its washable.

One Month Already

Megan is one month old. Wow how the last month has flown by. Megan is 8 pounds 5 ounces and is 20 1/2 inches long. Megan is such a good baby. Has a mild personality so far. She is a good sleeper and eater. She eats 4 oz formula/breastmilk at each feeding. She loves to sleep and be on her side. I will go and find her and she has rolled onto her side. She usually is awake for a little while in the morning and takes a good long nap and then more awake in the evenings. Her big brother and sister adore her. They love to be in her face, come find her in the morning to say hi and give kisses, won't go to bed without giving her a hug and kiss. They love to help with her bottles, baths, and pick out her clothes. Tyson loves to hold her and can calm her down.

General Women's Conference

My dad was able to get all of us girls tickets to the General Women's Conference at the Conference Center. Mike and I decided to go up a little early to meet up with Grandma Olson since she hadn't seen Megan yet. So we spent the afternoon with her. We then met up with my family at Johnny Rocket's at City Creek for dinner. After dinner the girls walked over to the conference center while the men and kids walked around temple square. We waited in line and were still waiting when the meeting had already started. We finally got word (along with several hundreds of other women) that the conference center was full. They must have given out many more tickets than they should have. We decided that since we could watch it later we would head back to find the rest of the family and enjoy being together. I just love my family.

Fun with Science

 Mike took the kids to this Science thing at the Provo Rec Center. They had a lot of fun petting a skunk and a huge snake and holding a big huge bug. I don't think I would have held it. My kids are braver than I. They had all kinds of fun science things there the kids got to enjoy. 

 

 

They also had fun climbing the rock wall there. Anytime Tyson can climb he is happy.

Superhero Party

At our library they did a fun superhero party. Mike took Tyson and his friend Kasen was there too. They had a lot of fun dressing up and meeting Spiderman and Batman and going to this fun party.

Wish Come True

While I was in the hospital with Megan the kids had been visiting me and walked to McDonald's for lunch. On their way back the life flight helicopter was landing and Mike and the kids were there watching the helicopter land. The pilot motioned for them to come over and let them get in the helicopter. Even though Eliza doesn't look impressed, it made Tyson's day.

Meet Megan Hazlett

The day finally has come for us to meet our baby girl. We are so excited to meet her and I am so excited not to be pregnant anymore.

All hooked up and ready to be wheeled to the operating room. So ready and nervous to have this baby girl.

I got all hooked up and was given my epidural (The IV is always worse than the epidural for me...bad veins) and they wheeled me across the hall to the operating room and moved me to the operating table. They started the heat on me because I was shaking so bad (probably from both the adrenalin and cold) and straped my arms down and finished prepping me. 

In the operating room...She is almost here.

We were scheduled to have the c-section at 9:30am but the doctors were running ahead of schedule and so we were able to go a little bit earlier. This was by far my worst c-section experience out of the three. I could feel more and the pressure was excruciating. Good thing it goes by pretty fast and it is all worth it to be able to bring this beautiful girl into the world.

It was so awesome when Mike came back into the operating room holding our beautiful baby girl. I was so nervous she was going to take after her brother and sister and have to go to the NICU but she was absolutely perfect and it was SO great when I got to see her in her daddy's arms.

The first time actually holding my baby girl. This moment is always so precious and makes everything so worth it.



Here is Ty and Eliza meeting Megan for the first time. They are in love.



Cousins-6 weeks apart. They are going to be great friends.
