Tyson loves his sister. He is CONSTANTLY giving her kisses and tries to hold her all the time. He loves to pick her up and carry her. It scares me to death cause he has already dropped her once. He also loves to help burp her after she nurses. When she cries he gets so concerned and runs to her almost immediately and gives her kisses. She is the first one he looks for in the morning and after his naps. He tries to love her so much that most the time he just smothers her but I know he is just trying to love her and learning how to be a big brother.

We went to our ward Christmas party on Saturday morning. They did a breakfast and had Santa visit as well. This was Tyson's first interaction with Santa. He didn't sit on his lap last year. He was not interested. For the first minute he just sat there trying to figure out who's lap he was on and then...

...he started to cry...

...then he settled a down a little bit when he got his candy cane. He was not all that fond of the whole experience though.

Just Chillin'

Eliza had a little bit of jaundice and so to help it go down we put her in the sunlight. Here she is just a chillin'. What a cute little miss we have.

Family

It isn't too often that we get to see Mike's brothers but we were able to see them on Thanksgiving. It has been a year and a half since we had seen Jarrod, Maya, and Adriana and hadn't even met little Isaac. Isaac and Tyson had a fun time playing together. It had been over four years since we had seen Rory, Sarah, and Kyle. We last saw them when they came to our wedding. They were both in Salt Lake for Thanksgiving and I was in the hospital from having baby Eliza and they made the effort to come and visit us in the hospital. It was so much fun to see them and catch up.

Eliza's Birthday

This was the morning I went in to have our baby girl. I am 39 weeks here.

This is me before the c-section. When I went in I was having contractions every few minutes but not too consistent and I couldn't feel them. Mike wanted to get this picture that showed me having a contraction. You can see if you look closely on the computer screen in the background.

This is baby Eliza just shortly after she was born.

Baby Eliza in the NICU. She was having some respiratory problems. She was taken to the NICU and was put on a CPAP machine.

This was the first time that I got to hold my baby girl. This was after she had been in the NICU for about five hours.

Happy Birthday Mike

November 7th was Mike's birthday which was a Sunday so we celebrated his birthday on both Saturday and Sunday. Saturday we went to the BYU game with Karli and Garret and then went to dinner with our friends at Tucanos that night.

On Sunday we opened presents in which he got a couple new shirts and some new shoes...

...then we had a delicious chocolate cake with chocolate whipped cream frosting.

Funny little sidenote, I thought we had candles but nope so we lit a match and that is what he got to blow out. Worked out just fine.

BYU Game

A couple of weekends ago on November 6th, Karli called us at about 11:00 am and asked if we would like to go to the BYU football game cause they had two extra tickets. We of course accepted the offer. The game started at 12:00 and we had yet to shower and had to find a babysitter for Ty. Thank goodness for grandparents. We hurried and showered and got ready, dropped Ty off at grandma and grandpa's, grabbed some lunch, and headed to Provo. We ended up not being too late to the game either. We had a lot of fun. Thanks Karli and Garret.

Happy Halloween

Our sweet little Pooh bear. This halloween Mike and I didn't dress up but we dressed Tyson up. We had our ward halloween party on Thursday night with a trunk or treat and then we took Tyson trick or treating down main street on Friday. We had fun taking Tyson around and I think he had fun as well.

Dad is making us chocolate shakes and Tyson is waiting in anticipation. Whenever we are in the kitchen whether it is making meals or doing dishes Tyson always has a chair or stool right up next to us so he can "help" us. He is a very curious and inquisitive little boy.

Pumpkin Patch

Also during UEA weekend we got together and had a pizza party at Grandma and Grandpa's house and then we went to Santaquin to the Red Barn and took a hayride to the pumpkin patch and picked out our pumpkins. After we picked out our pumpkins we went back and had ice cream at the red barn.
