For Tyson's school we thought it would be a cool experience for the kids to be able to be involved in some kind of giving (service) this Christmas. We came up with the idea of having the kids donate a toy to Toys for Tots. We explained to them what we were doing and they were all so excited to be able to give to other children who wouldn't have a great Christmas. Then we decided to go to our local police station and the kids gave them cookies for serving by keeping them safe. While there the got to sit in a police truck and see the light and hear the sirens. They really liked it but thought the sirens were too loud. On our way out the police officer escorting us let us see what a holding room was. Basically a cement bench with a toilet and sink. The kids had a lot of fun this day.
